The Brooklyn man whose girlfriend’s head, hands and feet turned up in his freezer has been charged with murder, officials said Thursday. Somorie Moses, a longtime pimp, was arrested Sunday after cops found the remains of Leondra Foster, 32, on ice in his Flatbush kitchen, but he was initially charged only with concealing a human corpse and evidence-tampering. The charges were upgraded Thursday to murder, officials announced. Moses first appeared on cops’ radar last week after Foster’s torso and limbs were found in bags of trash at the Hunts Point Metropolitan Transfer Station in The Bronx. Authorities tracked the bags back to the apartment of the 40-year-old suspect and surprised him with a search warrant. It was there that they found other body parts. Also, blood was found splattered around the residence. Police also uncovered blood-soaked men’s and women’s clothing, which was being tested for DNA. Foster was a known sex worker, sources said, and Moses’ name was tattooed on one of the victim’s dismembered feet. Foster’s father told The Post Tuesday that his daughter had been abused by Moses for months before her death, and that the two had been living together. The case is being handled by the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office. Moses was arraigned on the murder charges Thursday night and ordered held without bail. Acting Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez said his office was committed to seeking justice for Foster. http://ift.tt/2kzOR7N
